Passion in Technology
In high school I had an internship at a local computer store in North Carolina. I decided after high school to pursue a degree in Information Technology. After receiving an Associates Degree in Information Technology, I later became employed with a local computer repair company. My tasks were handling tickets, answering customer questions, diagnosing and repairing, creating solutions, troubleshooting networks, building custom machines, virtualizing computers, and much more. Having multiple years of experience in retail assisted me a lot while working in the computer store.
Journey to Mexico
I started sponsoring children in poverty through a United States company. It was nice writing to children and sending them gifts when they were in need. One day I decided to visit my sponsored children in Mexico. It was a new adventure for me and I changed completely. I was more grateful for what I had here and wasn't as wasteful with my spending.
Change in Politics
With everything that was going on in my community, I decided to run for County Commissioner. Many individuals thought I was not old enough or had enough experience, but that didn't matter to me. I wanted to make a change in my community and I had goals in doing so. Campaign finance training was required and I was in charge of every task. Unfortunately I didn't make it in the race for the seat.
Construction Life
An opportunity arose for me to change my occupation to work in construction. At first I was nervous, but I grew to love it. Driving the haul truck, running the roller, and even working with the rover I enjoy the most. Living life on the go is a very interesting adventure as well. At first I didn't know if I would like it, but I love traveling and having new experiences.
